When it pertains to fitness and nutrition you rarely hear fiber mentioned. In fact fiber plays a major role towards preventing serval chronic diseases such as certain Cancers and Diabetes. Fiber also helps decrease blood cholesterol and blood sugar levels. So what is fiber?
Fiber is a form of a complex carbohydrate. The daily recommended amount for adults are 25 grams for women and 38 grams for men. Fiber is also excellent when you are trying to loss weight. Fiber foods have you feeling fuller longer. So some healthy foods that contains a good source of fiber are.
Almonds, Apples, Beans, Broccoli, Brown rice, Carrots, Corn, Lettuce, Pears, Oats, Plain (popcorn) Potatoes (Baked).
